With the summer holidays almost upon us, we know it can be a long holiday to keep the kids busy and entertained. So here’s a helpful rundown of summer camps that are on in and around Tooting, whatever your child likes doing, there’s hopefully something on to keep them busy and having fun!! We haven’t used these camps ourselves, but have been watching out for recommendations and posts, to help you make a decision.
This is a multi activity camp for children aged 4 – 14. Activ Camps provide innovative and inclusive variations of traditional games and sports. In Tooting, Activ camps is held at Graveney School.
There are plenty of courses on offer for children ranging from 3 – teens. Located across six venues in Wansdworth, there’s sure to be an option that works for you. All Star Tennis create a fun-active learning environment, where children enjoy developing their tennis skills and learn to play.
Funky moves run summer camps for kids aged 3 – 12 years old, over at Alderbrook primary in Balham. The classes include arts, crafts, themed dance routines fancy dress and games.
A comprehensive five day revision course for the Wandsworth test. The Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning Summer Camp is running at Belleville Primary School on the 29th July-2nd August and Ravenstone Primary School on 19th-23rd August, 9:00-3:30 each day. The course is aimed at Year 5 pupils who will be taking Secondary School Entrance Exams. The course is a mixture of engaging and interactive activities, test technique and test practice. Over the course of the week the children gain confidence, speed and accuracy with a variety of questions types preparing them for the upcoming exams and avoiding the summer slide.
With classes for children aged 3-16, their performing arts summer schools are a great way to take to the stage during the school holidays. A morning workshop runs for 3-5 year olds, and an all-day workshop runs for 5-16s (divided into appropriate age bands). Summer camp classes are held at Chesnut Grove Academy.
Summer camps are held at Clapham Common for children aged three and above. They offer offer a range of sports including tennis, football, cricket, rugby, hockey, rounders, volleyball and golf. All activities are scaled for age and abilities.
London Sports Academy runs holidays camps at Burntwood School and Tooting Bec athletics track. Classes are for children aged 3 and above.
MPA Academy runs affordable performing arts holiday camps at Sellincourt Primary School. Classes are suitable for children ages 4-11 years, and their camps include singing, acting and dancing. Themes for this years summer camps include animal kingdom week, modern musical week and Hollywood week.
Playball holiday camps provide age-appropriate and fun holiday activities for both boys and girls aged 3-9 years.
Playball camps involve a wide and varied schedule of sports skills and games. Children participate in a range of instructor-led activities; including fundamental skills for tennis, hockey, cricket, football, rugby, athletics, basketball, baseball and volleyball. The nearest playball camp is at The Spencer Club, Fieldview
Solasta Dance Academy runs various themed dance camps from 1 to 5 days during holidays throughout the year where students will enjoy activities such as singing, dancing, acting and arts & crafts.
Sports focus coaching are running a multi-sport camp at St Anselms Primary School.
If your child enjoys dance and drama then stagecoach may be for you. Their Holiday Workshops are designed for 6 to 18 year olds, with some areas offering tailored workshops for kids aged four to six. Children and Teenagers can make friends, have fun and develop some great new skills at Stagecoach Holiday Drama Clubs and Workshops.
Packed with fun-filled, unmissable musical experiences, this is an Ofsted registered Holiday Camps for children aged 4 – 11. Summer camps are held at Franciscan Primary School.
Every Youngstars camp is full of fun, games and excitement whilst introducing aspects of several sports including the following… football, basketball, cricket, lacrosse, hockey, t-ball, tennis, rugby & athletics all within a non-competitive & all inclusive environment. Local camps are held in Balham and Clapham.
