There are plenty of mum and baby exercise classes that are available in and around Tooting, some outdoors. Also check out the other classes listed, for example pilates and yoga, some of which you can take you baby or toddler to. They are listed below in alphabetical order……

Babybounce is a fun and interactive 45-minute baby friendly fitness class suitable for all fitness levels. They focus on regaining core, pelvic floor and glute strength whilst increasing your fitness level. Expect to work with body weight, resistance bands and your baby (where possible) to tone up and get strong.  Screaming feeding and sleeping babies are all welcome. You can join Eliza and new mummy’s to get back in shape whole looking after your little one at the same time. Eliza’s buggy fit classes are an hour long. Classes start with a warm up, moving in to a power walk or run to tase your heart rate. Each class includes group exercises specifically selected to strengthen and tone particular muscle groups. Classes finish with a cool down and stretch.

Classes are held on Tooting Common, meeting at the cafe on the common. Classes run on Tuesdays at 9.45am and Fridays at 10am.

Classes cost £10, or you can block book 5 classes for £45 or 10 classes for £80. All blocks have a 4 month expiry.

Busylizzy provide 9 different weekly classes. They include fantastic fitness classes for new mums (that you attend with your little one so no childcare needed), interactive Baby classes and relaxing classes for Mums to be.

Monthly membership options: £45 for 4 class credits per month, £72 for 8 class credits per month or £99 for unlimited classes each month.

Postnatal Crossfit offer mums the ability to rebuild their bodies after their little one is born.  They offer exclusive Post Natal Rehabilitation and Pilates Classes at our Facility with onsite help to take care of the little ones while we take you  through your workout. They also offer Mums CrossFit almost y, again with the help of nannies onsite during the class-so  you can work on the fundamentals of strength and fitness in CrossFit.

They also offer Pre and Post Natal friendly Pilates for those wanting to gain core strength and development, knowing that their needs are being met. Crossfit Tooting offers a one week free trial.

ProPhysiotherapy offers post natal exercise classes that focus on core stability and pelvic floor strengthening, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and education. Each new mother can work to their own level regain confidence in their bodies.

Classes are held in Earlsfield and run on Mondays and Thursdays at 10am.

Recxercise is a fitness class based on Furzedown Rec, consisting of various training methods such as fast & challenging HIIT training, strength training and fat burning intervals. The exercises performed are mostly based around the 5 basic movement patterns which simulate the way we get around in daily life, which are squat, lunge, deadlift, push and pull.  Classes are run by Anya Russell, a local mum, PT & group fitness instructor. She’s a certified Girls Gone Strong Pre & Post Natal Fitness Coach. Recxercise is aimed at everyone, from women (and men!) who are new to exercise, to fitness fanatics. 

Recxercise is on: Tuesdays 10.30am, Thursdays 9.30am and Saturdays 8am outside at Furzedown Rec and on Wednesdays at 6:30am at the Pavillon on the Rec. If it’s your first time coming and you’re not on the Recxercise What’s App group then please email Anya or text her before coming.

You have four booking options: £45 for a block of 5 classes (£9 per class with a 6 week expiry), £75 for a block of 10 classes (£7.50 per class with a 6 week expiry), 1 month unlimited classes at £85 (on an average month this would be £5.30 per class), or a drop in (single class booking) £10 per class.

*Please note this is not specifically a post natal fitness class, it is more a fitness class that you can bring your babies/toddlers along to.  Anya does also run ‘Baby Body Reboot’, a 6 week personalised training group for mums looking to reconnect with their bodies and return to exercise. Trainhappy Mums is a fun and friendly post-natal class for new mums who want to start their journey back to fitness. Regain your core fitness, with an emphasis on your pelvic floor through low impact exercise and strictly no ab-crunches! All you need are trainers, water, a mat and be prepared for rain or shine. No need to worry about the baby as they can come too.
